Delta Dental Launches Dental Access Plan for Uninsured

Do you have a friend or relative without a dental benefits plan? Delta Dental of New Jersey is pleased to announce that we are offering Delta Dental Patient Direct, a dental access plan, to the approximately 4 million New Jersey residents who are without dental insurance, including senior citizens, the self-employed, and college students over the age of 23. We are communicating this service to potential members through a public education and advertising campaign.

Delta Dental Patient Direct is not an insurance plan. It is a dental membership program that offers access to a network of dentists who have agreed to provide dental care at fees no higher than the Delta Dental Patient Direct fee schedule.

New Jersey residents who do not have dental insurance and are at least 18 years of age, and their dependents, are eligible to become members of Delta Dental Patient Direct. Members are responsible for paying 100% of the participating dentist's fee up to the Delta Dental Patient Direct fee schedule for the dental procedure. Because Delta Dental Patient Direct is not insurance, there are no deductibles, no claims to file, no frequency limitations, and no waiting periods.

To date more than 1,300 general practice and specialty dental offices have signed up to participate in this new program.

For those without access to dental insurance, Delta Dental Patient Direct provides a means to help them manage dental expenses. For more information, call (877) TOOTH-07 (866-8407).
