Searching For Child-Friendly Web Sites? Click on 'Kid's Club'

Did you know that:

  • Americans buy enough dental floss each year to stretch to the moon and back six times?

  • Ancient Egyptians believed they could cure an aching tooth by applying a freshly killed mouse to it?

  • The Great White Shark has up to 3,000 teeth?

Dental Trivia is just one of the features in the "Kid's Club" section of Delta Dental's Web site. Kid's Club is designed to teach children about the importance of good oral health while still having fun.

In addition to featuring a new selection of Dental Trivia items each month, Kid's Club includes:

  • Information about Delta Dental's Captain Supertooth program. Captain Supertooth is a superhero with a great smile and a giant toothbrush, whose mission is to educate schoolchildren about oral hygiene. Every February - National Children's Dental Health Month - Captain Supertooth visits elementary schools throughout New Jersey to present a 20-minute program that is both entertaining and educational.

  • A downloadable Plaque Attack game, in which players armed with toothbrushes and dental floss seek to defeat tooth decay and gingivitis.

  • Cartoons and pictures to color.

You can access Kid's Club at www.deltadentalnj.com. Click on "Kid's Club" at the bottom of the home page.
