| Delta Dental Plan of New Jersey is
using Internet technology to turn ourselves into a
"true, 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week,
365-day-a-year operation," according to our 2001
Annual Report. The Annual
Report highlights the many ways that Delta Dental is
using the Internet to make it easier for you, as well as
dentists, benefits managers and brokers, to get the
information you need from us. For instance, in 2001,
Delta Dental launched "Benefits Connection,"
an online service that makes it possible for subscribers
and their dentists to easily receive instant, detailed
information about patients' Delta Dental benefits.
Other highlights of the 2001
Annual Report include:
- Achieving an impressive
"AA-" Standard & Poor's rating of our
financial strength for the second consecutive year.
- The introduction of the
redesigned Explanation of Benefits statement, which
makes it more readable and user-friendly.
- Details on the Foundation's
extensive community outreach programs, which help
deliver care to underserved populations, support
dental education and research, raise public
awareness, and assist worthwhile organizations.
